In a stunning announcement, Tony Danza, the star of the classic 80s sitcom “Who’s the Boss,” has confirmed that a reboot of the beloved show is officially in the works.
However, there’s one big catch: Alyssa Milano, who played Danza’s on-screen daughter, won’t be returning for the revival.
According to sources close to Danza, Milano’s “troubled” past was a major factor in the decision to move forward without her.
Apparently, Danza and the other producers were concerned that Milano’s outspoken political views and social activism might cause controversy and backlash for the show.
“It’s nothing personal against Alyssa,” Danza said in a statement. “We just felt like it was better to err on the side of caution and move forward without her. We want this show to be fun and light-hearted, not bogged down by controversy and politics.”
Fans of the original show were understandably disappointed by the news, with many taking to social media to express their outrage. “How could they do ‘Who’s the Boss’ without Alyssa Milano?” one fan tweeted. “She was the heart and soul of the show!”
Others, however, were more supportive of Danza’s decision. “I think it’s great that they’re keeping politics out of it,” one Twitter user wrote. “There’s enough division in this country already. We don’t need it in our TV shows too.”
Regardless of how fans feel about the decision, one thing is clear: the “Who’s the Boss” reboot is sure to be one of the most talked-about shows of the year. With or without Milano, viewers can expect plenty of laughs, heartwarming moments, and of course, Tony Danza’s signature charm. As Danza himself put it, “Who’s the Boss? We are, baby. We are.”
