Kid Rock, the self-proclaimed “American Bad Ass,” is back in the headlines again, this time for his new venture: “American Patriot Beer.”
The launch of the brand comes just months after a legal dispute with Bud Light, which resulted in a million-dollar lawsuit.
The feud between Kid Rock and Bud Light began when the rapper’s name was used in a marketing campaign without his permission.
In response, Kid Rock filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that they had used his likeness without his consent.
While the lawsuit was pending, Kid Rock began to develop his own beer brand. According to a spokesperson for the company, “American Patriot Beer” is designed to be a patriotic alternative to other domestic beer brands.
“American Patriot Beer” features a red, white, and blue can design and is made with 100% American-grown hops and barley. The company’s website touts the beer as “a symbol of freedom, independence, and the American spirit.”
Critics of the brand have pointed out the irony of Kid Rock promoting a “patriotic” beer brand after being involved in a legal dispute with a major beer company. Others have questioned whether the beer’s taste will live up to its patriotic branding.
Despite the criticism, Kid Rock seems determined to make “American Patriot Beer” a success. In a recent interview, he stated that he was excited to be “bringing patriotism back to beer.”
Only time will tell whether “American Patriot Beer” will be a hit with consumers, but one thing is for sure: Kid Rock is not one to back down from a challenge, whether it’s a legal dispute or launching a new beer brand.
