However, not everyone shared the same enthusiasm, as conservative voices expressed their discontent with the President’s actions, asserting that he had infringed upon the law by hoisting the flag above the distinguished residence.

Originally slated for Thursday, the event was tactfully rescheduled to Saturday due to concerns regarding air quality resulting from the devastating Canadian forest fires. President Joe Biden utilized his platform to deliver poignant remarks, primarily centered around the imperative of protecting the LGBTQ+ community, with particular emphasis on transgender youth. Nevertheless, conservative critics found a point of contention, seizing upon what they perceived as a breach of flag code regulations, specifically regarding the positioning of the Progress Pride Flag alongside two American Flags.
The specific violation of the U.S. Flag Code, as highlighted on various social media platforms, pertained to section 7, article (e), which outlines the guidelines for public flag displays. This code stipulates that “The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs.”
